Lugano Golf Course Magliaso

Full Description: Lugano Golf Course, founded in 1923, is privileged to offer an 18 hole course (PAR 70 - 5575 meters) which is technically difficult and situated in a beautiful pre alpine landscape.

A few kilometers from the City of Lugano and close to the airport of Agno, the course, which was originally designed by Architect Donald Harradine, has been developed on nearly flat ground, amongst birches, oaks, spruces, rhododendrons and azalea. Since 1992 significant modifications have been made under the supervision of the architect Cabell B. Robinson.

The Lugano Golf Course is considered very technical and extremely demanding because of the many hazards and very narrow fairways, often confined by the rich vegetation and the river Magliasina which has to be crossed 8 times during a game.

There are long holes for strong players and short holes which demand a very precise game. The greens are well defended by natural obstacles and well placed bunkers.

As our region is a popular tourist area with many visitors, we reccommend that you reserve a tee time both during the week as well as on weekends. The secretary is available for this purpose.
